Yukon River

The Yukon River is a watercourse of northern North America. Over half of the river lies in Alaska, USA, with the other portion lying in and giving its name (meaning great river in Gwich'in) to Canada's Yukon Territory. It was one of the principal means of transportation during the Yukon Gold rush in 1898 to 1899.
