Yao
Yao (八尾市; -shi) is a city located in Osaka, Japan.
As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 273,662 and the density of 6,561.06 persons per km². The total area is 41.71 km².
The city was founded on April 1, 1948.
The Yao (瑶) people are an ethnic group. They form one of the 56 ethnic groups officially recognized by the People's Republic of China.
