Vector bundleIn mathematics, a vector bundle is a fibre bundle whose fibres are vector spaces. More precisely and formally, a vector bundle E over a manifold M is a manifold equipped with a smooth projection π : E → M such that for any x∈ M the fibre π −1x is isomorphic to a vector space V, and there is a neighbourhood Ux of x such that π −1(Ux) is diffeomorphic to Ux×V. |
