Valencia, CF

Valencia Club de Fútbol (also known as Valencia, CF or just Valencia) is a team in the first division of the Spanish Football League.

Founded in 1919, Valencia CF is based in the city of Valencia, Spain. The team's home stadium is Mestalla, which was opened in 1923.

Valencia CF won the Spanish title in May 2002, having reached and lost the final of the UEFA Champions League against Real Madrid in 2000 and Bayern Munich in 2001.

Thanks to one of the greatest defences in world soccer, incuding the charismatic Italian Carboni and the fiery Argentinian Roberto Ayala, and an imaginative playmaker, young Pablo Aimar (also from Argentina), Valencia CF has grown into one of the world's great teams.
