University of Vermont

The University of Vermont is a university in Burlington, Vermont. The University of Vermont is known for its programs in agriculture and life sciences.

Bachelors, master's, and doctoral programs are offered through the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Education and Social Services, the College of Engineering and Mathematics, the College of Medicine, the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, the Graduate College, the School of Business Administration, and the School of Natural Resources.

The University of Vermont campus is located in Burlington between Colchester Avenue to the north, East Avenue to the east, S. Prospect Street to the west, and Main Street (to Williston Road) traversing the center of the campus.

The school's sports teams are called the Catamounts. They participate in the NCAA's Division I and in the America East Conference. The University of Vermont does not have a football program.
