University of Ontario Institute of Technology
The University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) will be a university located in Ontario, Canada is the country's newest university, which opened in September of 2003, partially to accomodate the "double-cohort". (The double-cohort is the doubling of the province's high school graduating class as a result of the elimination of OAC, or Grade 13.)
UOIT is the first laptop-based learning institution in Canada. The slogan of UOIT is "A brand new university for the 21th century".
