University of Auckland

The University of Auckland is New Zealand's largest university by student numbers. Established in 1883, the university is made up of seven faculties over four campuses – City, Grafton, Tamaki and North Shore.

In 2002, the university initiated development of a proposal to amalgamate with the Auckland College of Education, to create a Faculty of Education at the college's Epsom campus.
