Time-division multiple access
In telecommunication, a time-division multiple access (TDMA) is a communications technique that uses a common channel (multipoint or broadcast) for communications among multiple users by allocating unique time slots to different users. TDMA is marginally more secure than CDMA (another standard for mobile phones), and marginally less secure than GSM.Note: TDMA is used extensively in satellite systems, local area networks, physical security systems, cellular phone systems in the United States, and combat-net radio systems.
