Tim Jones

Tim Jones (born Timothy Edward Jones, January 30, 1972) in LaFayette, Georgia is a reporter, DJ, songwriter and historian who specializes in country music. Jones started his radio career in Summerville, Georgia at WGTA Radio. From there, Jones honed his skills further in the radio business at WQCH Radio in LaFayette, Georgia. Since then, Jones's signature voice has been heard on WKEA (K-98 FM) in Scottsboro, Alabama where he was a co-host to Dave Williams on the wildly popular northeast Alabama morning radio show The K-98 Morning Crew. In 2002, Jones began a series of interviews on WZOB Radio in Fort Payne, Alabama with Charlie Louvin, Bill Anderson, Bellamy Brothers and The Derailers, among other country music notables. In his personal life, Jones has had legal problems concerning alimony and child support. Friends of Jones have called such incidents "witch hunts". Aside from Jones's tumultuous personal affairs, the capstone of his writings has been on-going articles for the largely underground Country Music Source Magazine. Although Jones's unorthodox journalism draws rave reviews from Country music industry insiders, financial prosperity through the medium has eluded him, thus keeping Jones in arrears with child support. And, when asked his current residence, in the Gonzo style, Jones simply replies: "I'm M.I.A....Missin' In Alabama!"
