The Wonderful Wizard of Oz
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is a children's story written by L. Frank Baum. It was first published in 1900. The story chronicles the adventures of a girl named Dorothy in the land of Oz.
Since the copyright expired in 1956, some publishers have produced the book under other titles such as The Wizard of Oz (e.g. Puffin Classics, ISBN 0-14-035001-2).
In 1939 the book was made into a movie, The Wizard of Oz, featuring Judy Garland as Dorothy.
