Telugu

Telugu is the predominant language of the state of Andhra Pradesh. It is a Dravidian language.

Telugu is one of the official languages of India. It is called "Italian of the East" because all words in Telugu ends with a vowel sound.

In Telugu, the verb is conjugated for negation and interrogation, as well as tense. For example:

naaku telusu
I know
naaku telusaa
do I know?
naaku teliyadu
I don't know
naaku teliyadaa
don't I know?

The Telugu script is phonetic in nature. It appears quite similar to the Kannada language script. It is assigned Unicode codepoints: 0C00-0C7F (3072-3199).
