Straits of Belle IsleThe Straits of Belle Isle are a Canadian waterway that divides the Labrador Peninsula from Newfoundland Island, the two parts of the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. The Straits are one of two outlets of the Gulf of Saint Lawrence into the North Atlantic Ocean, the other being Cabot Strait south of Newfoundland.
