Static-X are a Alternative Metal and Heavy Metal music band. Formed in 1997.

Biography

The band was originally formed by Wayne Static and Ken Jay. After some research of members in Chicago, the two guys went to Los Angeles. There, they met Tony Campos and Koichi Fukuda : the first lineup of the band was done. The band finally signed at Warner Bros Records in early 1998.

Releated Artists and Influences

They are one of the four pioneers of the genre which includes: themselves, Alice in Chains, Fear Factory, Danzig, Korn, Skid Row and White Zombie.

Their influences are Alice in Chains, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Ministry, Mother Love Bone, Pearl Jam, and Slayer.
