St Andrews

Named after Saint Andrew, the Royal Burgh of St Andrews is a coastal town in Fife, Scotland, and the home of golf. It has a population of about 18,000, and is on the east coast, roughly between Edinburgh and Dundee.

It has a university, the University of St Andrews, but is best known in its role as site of St Andrews Links, headquarters of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club, golf's founding body, and today a major international organisation.
