South Gloucestershire

South Gloucestershire is a Unitary authority, created in 1996 when Avon County Council was dissolved. It is north of the city of Bristol. South Gloucestershire is a part of the traditional county of Gloucestershire.

South Gloucestershire covers an area of 497 km2 and is home to around 250,000 people.
