Sky Tower is a tower located in downtown Auckland, New Zealand. From ground level to the very top it is 328 metres tall, making it the tallest free-standing structure in the Southern Hemisphere. The landmark is a part of the Sky City Casino complex.

After two and a half years of construction the tower was opened on March 3, 1997. It attracts over 600,000 visitors each year.

As well as being used for observation and amusement, the tower is used for telecommunications and broadcasting. The upper portion of the tower contains a restaurant.

It is sometimes known colloquially as the "Sparkplug" for its shape.
