Sing Tao Daily’s editorial product is created by using daily Chinese language Internet feeds from Hong Kong, together with national feeds from Sing Tao Daily news bureau in New York and from various regional editorial staffs.
The information is transmitted via electronic files to the individual production facilities where prepress departments compose the pages using a Chinese electronic publishing system called FounderFit from Founder Group Corp.
The Founder Group, which is based in Beijing, was the first company to design a system of compression, decompression and storage, which allowed the Chinese language to be digitally typeset. The Founder Group is funded by Peking University, which is owned by the Central government.
