Sheffield Midland station

Sheffield Midland Station is the railway station in central Sheffield, England.

The Midland Station was the fifth and last station to be build in Sheffield's city centre. It was built by the Midland Railway to serve the Midland Main Line and opened in 1870. Their new line offered a more direct route to London than the previous route from Sheffield Victoria Station via Retford.

Services from Sheffield station provided by Midland Mainline, Virgin Trains and Central Trains run to major cities across the country. Services provided by Arriva run to local destinations.

The station is connected to Sheffield's tram network, and is linked to the city's bus station by a short covered walkway.
