Rhizophorales is an order of flowering plants. The order contains only one family, Rhizophoraceae. The Rhizophorales order contains roughly 100 species of plants living in tropical regions of the world.
The order Rhizophorales contains woody plants that contain vessels; the group consists of a high proportion of parasitic forms. Five petals are common and a nectary disc is present. The flower is clearly adapted to pollination by insects.
The best-known tree of this order and family is the mangrove, even though most of the species are inland species.
