Raticate (Ratta in japanese) is a Stage 1 normal-type Pokémon that evolves from Rattata at level 20; it does not further evolve into a Stage 2 Pokémon. Raticate, like Rattata, has a tendence to gnaw on everything it finds, and can even bring down concrete buildings this way. Its hind feet are webbed, allowing it to swim, and it uses its whiskers to maintain balance.

Availability

In Pokémon Red/Blue, Yellow and Pokémon Gold/Silver/Crystal, Raticate can be either found in many locations or evolved from Rattata. In Pokémon Sapphir/Ruby, Raticate is not available at all.

Strengths / Weaknesses

Raticate is vulnerable to Fighting, and strong against Ghost.
