Rambouillet Agreement
The Rambouillet Agreement named for the location at Chateau Rambouillet, France where it was reached, was NATO's proposed agreement between Yugoslavia and Albanian rebels for peace in Kosovo. The agreement's significance comes from the fact that it was not accepted by Yugoslavia and this set the stage for the Kosovo War. It included provisions for a proposed government for Kosovo, and detailed the obilgations of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
