Princess Margaret of Connaught

Her Royal Highness Princess Margaret of Connaught, also known as Crown Princess Margaretha of Sweden, full name Margaret Victoria Charlotte Augusta Norah, Princess of Great Britain and Ireland, nickname Daisy (January 15, 1882 - May 1, 1920), was the daughter of Prince Arthur William Patrick, Duke of Connaught (1850-1942) and his wife, née Princess Luise Marguerite of Prussia (1860-1917).

She became the first wife of His Majesty King Gustav VI Adolf of Sweden on June 15, 1905. She was Crown Princess of Sweden from the date of the marriage.

Their children were:

  1. Prince Gustav Adolf, Duke of Västerbotten (1906-1947)
  2. Prince Sigvard, Duke of Uppland, later Count Sigvard Bernadotte af Wisborg (1907-2002)
  3. Princess Ingrid of Sweden, later Queen of Denmark (1910-2000)
  4. Prince Bertil, Duke of Halland (1912-1997)
  5. Prince Carl Johan, Duke of Calecarlie, later Count Carl Johan Bernadotte af Wisborg (1916-)
