Peter's Friends

Peter's Friends is a comedy-drama movie starring Stephen Fry, Emma Thompson and Kenneth Branagh among others.

It involves a party held by Peter (Fry) at his expensive country house at which the friction between the various guests creates a good deal of comic tension until Peter finally announces that he has a serious announcement to make...

Could use a lot more about the plot here, but I've lost the tape and can't remember it in any more detail!

ps I believe it was financed by Channel 4, as a lot of "worthy" British films were around that time
