Paleoethnobotany

Paleoethnobotany is the archaeological sub-field that studies plant remains from archaeological sites. The major research themes are recovery of plant remains, the origins of domestication, the use of wild plant remains, and the co-evolution of human/plant interactions. Palynology is a specialty - the study of pollens, in this case, as clues to early humankind.
