Ouder-Amstel

Ouder-Amstel (population: 13,328) is a municipality in the north-western Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. The municipality covers an area of 26.15 km².

The municipality of Ouder-Amstel consists the following towns, villages and townships: Duivendrecht, Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, Waver.

It comprises the combined Duivendrecht train station and metro station. It is at a non-level crossing of regular railway lines, providing stops on both lines: at the lower (yet elevated) level we have the railway from Schiphol Airport to Weesp (and further to Almere and Amersfoort), at the higher level the railway from Amsterdam to Utrecht. The wide single platform at the lower level serves also as station hall. The station also serves the metro line, which runs here at the higher level with two tracks between the two tracks of the main railway.
