Demographics\nAs of the census of 2000, there are 5,092 people, 2,084 households, and 1,448 families residing in the borough. The population density is 945.2/km² (2,444.2/mi²). There are 2,159 housing units at an average density of 400.8/km² (1,036.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the borough is 90.34% White, 1.02% African American, 0.08% Native American, 4.30% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 2.57% from other races, and 1.67% from two or more races. 6.42% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
