Music of GreeceThough Greek music is thousands of years old and is better documented than most other traditions, international fame has focused primarily on a form called rembetiko.Rembetiko is the music of the rembetes, a group of itinerant, drug-using, violent men and women who played the bouzouki and gradually invented a pop form called laiki that found some mainstream success.
