Murray Rothbard

Murray Newton Rothbard (March 2, 1926 - January 7, 1995) was an American economist belonging to the Austrian School of Economics, who, among other things, renewed anarcho-capitalism.

Rothbard was not only an economic theorist, but an economic historian of considerable stature. He is one of the few economic authors who have studied and presented the pre-Smithian economic schools, such as the scholastics and the physiocrats.

His books include Man, Economy, and State, Power and Market, For a New Liberty, and America's Great Depression.
