Mirabel International Airport

Mirabel International Airport is an airport in Mirabel, Quebec, near Montreal. It was constructed as part of a major project by the Canadian federal government for Montreal, originally to replace Dorval International Airport. Since this did not happen, the sizeable project remains unnecessary, and costly to maintain.

Mirabel International Airport is mainly used for charter flights and cargo flights. It uses the IATA Airport Code YMX.

Only two airlines, Air Transat and Corsair provide service into Mirabel. All passenger operations are due to cease in autumn 2004, after which the airport will only handle cargo flights.
