Biography

Michelle Branch (born July 2, 1983) is a musician, specializing in guitar. She was born in Flagstaff, Arizona. She first hit the airwaves with the song "Everywhere" in 2001. She gained note and acclaim along with such other stars as Avril Lavigne and Vanessa Carlton for music performed by teen-age girls that was not bubblegummy, manufactured, or aimed at sexy image rather than musical integrity. In 2002, she was the vocalist for Carlos Santana's "The Game of Love" (not to be confused with the Mindbenders song of the same name). Critics of contemporary pop hold that she combines thought-out lyrics, interesting guitar chords, to make an enjoyable singer without all the trashy clothes.
