MetelenMetelen is a municipality in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is located on the river Vechte in the district of Steinfurt. Population: 6,300. Geographical location 52° 9' North, 7° 12' East.The town history dates back to 889, when it was first mentioned in an official document. Metelen ist known for its birds park (Vogelpark) and, as the whole Münsterland region as a great cycling area.
