Max Frisch

Max Frisch (May 15, 1911 - April 4, 1991), was a Swiss playwright and novelist , one of the most representative writers of the german literature after World War II.

Some of the major themes in his work are: identity (its search - the european tradition of "Know yourself", its lost, self-image and the perception of the other), guilt and innocence (the spiritual crisis of the modern world after Nietzsche proclaimed that "God is dead"), also Switzerland's self disturbed image as a consesus and tolerant democracy, home of the freedom, when the people are scared with their own liberty and their sole preoccupation is assuring every part of the life.
