Legnica
Legnica is a town in Poland in dolnoslaskie region, upon Kaczawa river.
Population: 107,700 (1994).
Legnica is famous for a battle that took place near the city in the Middle Ages (1241) between Mongols of Golden Horde and feudal nobility including the Knights Templar. The battle is known as Battle of Liegnitz and it was a defeat for the nobility.
