KowloonIn modern day Hong Kong, Kowloon (九龍 lit. nine dragons) when unqualified refers to the the southern part of the Kowloon Peninsula in Hong Kong. Population (2000): 2,071,000.
It comprises the following districts:Legislative Council of Hong Kong. Wong Tai Sin and Kwun Tong are refered as Kowloon East while Yau Tsim Mong, Sham Shui Po and Kowloon City form Kowloon West.
The same region was called 官富場 in Song Dynasty.
