Kate Mulgrew

Kate Mulgrew (born April 29, 1955) is a US actress. She was born in Dubuque, Iowa and is the second oldest of 8 siblings.

Kate Mulgrew has performed in 23 plays, 9 movies, 30 television shows, 6 audio books, and 1 television documentary. She played Kathryn Janeway on the science fiction television series Star Trek: Voyager. A long-time fan (and lookalike) of Katherine Hepburn, she most recently starred in a one-woman play called Tea at Five about the life and times of Katherine Hepburn.

Kate Mulgrew won the Saturn Award for "Best TV Actress" in 1998 and the Golden Satellite Award for "Best Actress in a TV series drama" in 1998. She was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for "Best Dramatic Actress" in 1979.
