Ishim River

The Ishim River (another name is Esil River) is a river running through Kazakhstan and Russia. Its length is 2450 km (1530 miles). It is an affluent of the Irtysh River. The Ishim River is partly navigable and passes through Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.

Ishim also is the name of a town in Russia: Ishim, Russia
