Indus scriptIndus script, also called the Sarasvati script, is the oldest script to have been used in India. In its mature phase it has been traced to 2600-1900 BC, although its earliest forms go back to 3300 BC. After 1900 BC, the script was used less frequently and by the first millennium BC, it had been transformed into Brahmi. |
