HydrophobiaHydrophobia is the fear of water, or of swimming. Usually mild cases involving fears of deep water, and not associated with general fear of the substance water.Rabies was often referred to as Hydrophobia, because animals in the later stages of that disease have difficulty swallowing, and suffer from their inability to quench their thirst.
