Huntingdonshire

Huntingdonshire is a tradtional county of England, United Kingdom around the towns of Huntingdon (the County Town), St Ives, Godmanchester, St Neots, Ramsey and Fletton.

Administratively, it was absorbed into the administrative county of Cambridgeshire in 1974, after a brief spell as part of Huntingdonshire and Cambridgeshire. The present Huntingdonshire District Council covers almost the same area as the historic county, but without Fletton (which is now administered as a district of the City of Peterborough) and with Eaton Socon (which is traditionally in Bedfordshire).
