Howard Shore

Howard Shore is a film composer, born on October 18, 1946 in Toronto, Canada.

One of the most successful and versatile film musicians of our day, he has written the music for such major film productions as Silence of the Lambs, Naked Lunch, Philadelphia, Ed Wood, Se7en, Dogma, High Fidelity and Panic Room.

His greatest success to date is his score for Peter Jacksons Lord of the Rings film trilogy - the score for the first film, Fellowship of the Ring, gained him an Oscar in 2002.
