How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

How the Grinch Stole Christmas! is a book by Dr. Seuss in which the Grinch, a bitter green being with a heart "three sizes too small" lives on a snowy hilltop above Whoville with his faithful dog making plans to descend on the town and rob them of their Christmas presents and decorations to prevent Christmas from occurring.

The book was adapted to television in 1966 as an animated TV special, directed by Chuck Jones. It starred Boris Karloff as the voice of the Grinch. The cartoon is typically on the Internet Movie Database's list of top 250 films.

In 2000, the book was also made into a live-action film, directed by Ron Howard and starring Jim Carrey.
