Goh Chok Tong

Goh Chok Tong (Hanzi: 吴作栋), born [May 20], [1941] in [Pasir Panjang], is currently prime minister of Singapore, and a member of the People's Action Party (PAP). He succeeded Lee Kuan Yew in 1990 to become only the second prime minister in Singapore's history.

He had previously served as senior minister for trade and industry, finance, and health.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the National University of Singapore and a Master of Arts in Development Economics from Williams College in the United States.
