Geringoso

Geringoso is a language game using the Spanish language played in Argentina. It is similar to Pig Latin in English.

To speak Geringoso, you take each syllable of a word and break it up. Then you add the letter P and the vowel in the preceding syllable.

For example:

 Perro (dog)
 Pe-Rro
 PepeRropo

Gato (cat) Ga-To Gapatopo

Geringoso is commonly used as a "secret" language by schoolchildren, at least until they realize that their parents went to school once too.

In another Spanish-speaking countries, similar games prepend the same syllable , ti, for instance, giving tipetirro and tigatito for the above examples.
