Gatineau, Quebec
Gatineau is a city in Quebec, Canada. It is situated on the eastern bank of the Ottawa River, immediately across from Ottawa, Ontario.It was formed on January 1, 2002, by the mergers of the cities of Hull, Aylmer, Gatineau, Buckingham, and Masson-Angers.
A number of federal offices are located in Gatineau due to its proximity to the capital. Another important attraction is the Canadian Museum of Civilization.
The city contains a campus of the Université du Québec, the Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO).
