Garry Trudeau

Garry Trudeau (born in New York in 1948), is an American cartoonist. He attended Yale University in the late 1960s, where he developed his most famous creation, the daily comic strip Doonesbury. In 1975, he became the first cartoonist to win a Pulitzer Prize. The cartoon has also taken the form of a stage show and an animated special.

In addition to his work on Doonesbury, Trudeau has participated in several stage and television shows. He is married to the journalist Jane Pauley.
