Garage

A garage is a building for the storage of vehicles. In British English, a garage also may be a shop where vehicles are repaired.

Garage is a term used to describe several different varieties of modern dance music. Usage is different in the US and UK.

The term was first used in the US to describe a form of house music. The name comes from the "Paradise Garage" club in New York.

The evolution of house music in the UK in the 1990s led to the term being applied to a new frorm of music also known as UK garage. This is now frequently grouped with forms like hip hop, rap and R&B under the description urban music.

None of these forms of music is in any way related to garage rock.
