The Ganges River Dolphin (Platanista gangetica) is a freshwater or river dolphin. It can be found in the Ganges River as well as the Brahmaputra and Meghna rivers of India, Banglahesh, Nepal and Bhutan. Other names for it are Gangetic Dolphin, Blind River Dolphin, Ganges Susu, Side Swimming Dolphin, and Susu.

It was only in the 1970s that this species was distinguished from the Indus River Dolphin.
