EncartaMicrosoft Encarta is an electronic encyclopedia published by Microsoft Corporation. Encarta is available on the World Wide Web (limited access) or CD-RO/DVD-ROM. The CD-ROM version has two disks: Disk 1 contains links to the exclusively multimedia Disk 2 (larger images, videos, and 360° rotating quicktime). After each longer articles, the names and credentials of the writers are listed. Many articles are based on those from the former Funk and Wagnalls encyclopedia.
