East Riding of Yorkshire

Administratively, the East Riding of Yorkshire is a unitary authority in the United Kingdom. It borders onto North Yorkshire, City of York, and North Lincolnshire and surrounds the unitary authority of Kingston-upon-Hull. It covers part of the historic County of Yorkshire, and corresponds roughly to what was North Humberside from 1974 to the 1990s.

The eastern part is the plain of Holderness, the western the Yorkshire Wolds.
