Dilated Peoples

The Dilated Peoples are a group of alternative rappers who have achieved great fame in the underground hip hop community, though they have had little mainstream success. DJ Babu, Evidence and Rakaa began formed in 1992 (see 1992 in music) and released "Third Degree" and "Work the Angles", which became a hit in clubs and among critics. They soon signed to Capitol Records for The Platform (2000, see 2000 in music) to critical acclaim. Their latest album is Expansion Team (2001, see 2001 in music).
